The Finance Department performs all the financial record-keeping and reporting for the City of Taft, TCDA, WWTP, and other agencies. The goal of the Finance Department is to provide accurate and timely financial information to the City Manager and the City Council so that they can make sound business decisions.
The Finance Department oversees the day to day revenue collection and processing, including but not limited to, Business License fees, Sewer and refuse fees, dog licensing fees, and loan payments from the Grant Programs offered by the City. As well as, accounts payable and payroll.
The Finance Department consists of two accounting clerks, one part time data entry clerk, an accountant, and the Director.
