The City of Taft Personnel / Human Resources Department is responsible for advertising employment opportunities and/or recruitment’s, managing employee benefits, employee training and risk management for the Administrative office, Taft City Police Department, Taft Community Correctional Facility and the Taft City Fire Department.
Applications for Correctional Officers, Administrative staff, Public Works Department and Transit operators, are only accepted when the City is conducting a recruitment and/or there is a vacancy. Applications for the Fire Fighters and Police Officers are accepted continuously, provided, the applicant has completed all required training, courses and/or certificates.
